Diesen Frühling haben wir uns einen Traum erfüllt, wir haben 3 Wochen die Ostküste von Australien bereist. Über verschiedene Stationen sind wir von Melbourne via Sydney bis nach Brisbane gereist. Dabei haben wir jeweils unsere Pestemals dabei gehabt und sie selber getestet.
Die Vorteile der Pestemals haben sich klar bewährt. Einerseits haben sie sehr wenig Platz im Koffer gebraucht und andererseits trocknen sie sehr schnell. Wir waren an sehr vielen verschiedenen Stränden unterwegs und hatten stets unsere Pestemals dabei. Der Vorteil am Strand war, dass die Pestemal Tücher sehr schnell trocknen und vor allem auch keinen Sand "mitschleppen". Wir hatten ein Mietauto und wenn man Frotteetücher dabei hat, bleibt der Sand jeweils kleben und dann ist das Auto voller Sand. Wenn man aber ein Pestemal dabei hat, kann man dieses sehr einfach am Strand ausschütteln und man nimmt auch wirklich keinen Sand mit ins Auto oder in die Ferienwohnung.
An mehreren Tagen waren wir surfen. Wenn man dann komplett nass aus dem Wasser kommt und sich in ein Pestemal einwickelt, hat man sofort warm. Und auch da war der Vorteil, dass das Tuch sehr schnell trocknet. Überall an den Stränden Australiens hat man die Pestemal gesehen. Wir waren erstaunt wie viele Leute solche Tücher bei sich hatten. Die Surfer hatten vor allem Tücher dabei, wie unsere Premium Pestemals. Sobald abends die Sonne weg war und es etwas kühler wurde, sah man vor allem viele Leute vor allem Frauen, welche sich die Pestemal als Pareo umgewickelt hatten. Als wir das sahen waren wir uns sicher, dass auch in der Schweiz das Pestemal als Pareo oder Hamamtuch immer wie mehr gefragt wird.
Es ist nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis sich der Trend auch bei uns durchsetzt und das Pestemal immer wie mehr das Frottee verdrängt.
